This short story is part of a personal project, which will collect in chapters works inspired to some old illustrated classics that captured my attention during the years.
In the case of this one, it is a reinterpretation inspired from the book "In the darkness of the night" by Bruno Munari, a cult example for children literature, especially for its experimental approach to layout.
A light seen from a cat opens to a magical world inside a drawer of an old desk.

Among with the simplicity of the story and bidimensionality of the illustrations I wanted to create an interactive experience inside one scene by turning a hidden cropped page kept in between by the cat's paws.
