A poster about life where An Eagle Owl and an Harpy Eagle meet for the first time.
They make presentations.
- Bubo Bubo*. - says him.
- Harpia Harpyja*. - answers her, a bit shyly.
* each is respectively the scientific name.

I made this poster after conducting research for a project, reading about the Harpy Eagle, which is the largest and most dangerous of its species.
These are the reasons, along with its intimidating appearance, why it shares its name with the myth.
In Latin America, the Harpy Eagle is a symbol for many countries, and its representations have been preserved for centuries.
The scientific name Harpia harpyja caught my attention because of its similarity to the Eagle Owl's scientific name Bubo bubo.
This other bird is the largest of its species and, unlike the Harpy Eagle, is well known for its quiet nature.
At the same time, it holds strong symbolic meaning for many cultures across Europe and the rest of the world.
I assigned each character a name, trying to create a humorous situation, as Bubo bubo sounded like a perfect name for a grumpy owl. I also tried to soften her appearance, starting with the name Harpia harpyja, which sounded quite elegant and important for a female character. To that, I added a touch of shyness.

Thank you.
