"Land of Owls" is a concept of a Picturebook.
It's an engaging story about searching for owls in the woods after finding a mysterious map.
This concept was part of a project made for a children's book editor.
The engaging style of the book plays with transparencies.
I first made a map to illustrate sections of the story and create a world in which a young reader can immerse himself.
You will notice the evolution of the scenes from a first view of the windows in the dark and will continue on the page behind with a full view of a backyard.
From the windows there is a young couple and a cat looking outside.
Upstairs someone is playing, a child probably with a paper plane that flies outside the window.
On the next page the illustration is made on a transparent page which will open like a window and will show what's outside.
The concept needs to be continued exploring the points of interest in the map.
